Empowerment and Development Housing Resource Center (EDHRC), founded in 2018, is a non-profit organization with a mission to engage in a wide range of economic development and education activities, and the provision of social services for the purpose of combatting blight and deterioration in the Detroit Metropolitan Areas. EDHRC was founded by Faye Baker. Faye Baker, a Detroit native born and raised in the local area, graduated from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration with a bachelor’s degree in finance and a Master of Science in Administration degree from Central Michigan University. FEED Program

The FEED program, which stands for Financial Empowerment and Educational Development, is a program designed to help individuals increase their financial knowledge and income with the ultimate goal of achieving home ownership. Homeownership is a significant financial milestone for many people, and programs like FEED can play a crucial role in helping individuals achieve this goal. The FEED program aims to empower individuals with the knowledge and resources needed to increase their income and make sound financial decisions, leading to the attainment of their goal of homeownership. This program is impactful to individuals and communities by promoting financial literacy and economic stability.

Pre-Purchase Counseling

Pre-purchase counseling includes but not limited to the counseling and educating the potential tenant on tenant and landlord responsibility as well as fair housing awareness,

Rehabilitation

Our team facilitates the rehabilitation to needy persons so that they can enjoy all rights to the same extent as nationals.

We understand the importance of having a stable home thus we have extended our arms helps in building the new home.

Rental

Arranging a rental shelter is a difficult task as there are many legal requirements to be fulfilled but our counseling team ensures that you don’t face those.

Sale

Selling a home is a tedious and challenging task so our team of counsel reviews in all aspects and assists you to make the right decision.

Our team organizes seminars, counseling sessions, workshops, and information dissemination campaigns concerning Financial Literacy, Rental, Home Buyer Education, Post-Purchase, and Mortgage that are directed towards increasing awareness of human rights in the area of their re-establishment.

We ensure that our events cover relevant and precise information, which is essential to know. We respect the rights and integrity of every person who seeks our assistance.

Our events raise awareness and contribution, whether it is related to financial assistance or legal assistance, or documentation preparation, we cover everything in our counseling events that is imperative for success.
