Empowerment and Development Housing Resource Center (EDHRC), founded in 2018, is a non-profit organization with a mission to engage in a wide range of economic development and education activities, and the provision of social services for the purpose of combatting blight and deterioration in the Detroit metropolitan area thereby contributing to the advancement of community life. EDHRC provides on a non—profit basis, low and moderate-income housing through rehabilitation, new construction, rental, and sale of such housing. EDHRC also provides educational and social services for the benefit of the residents of such housing, to perform activities that give reasonable promise that a stable environment will be created in the neighborhood of such housing.

EDHRC was founded by Faye Baker. Faye is a housing counselor. Faye Baker, a Detroit native born and raised in the local area, graduated from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration with a bachelor’s degree in finance and a Master of Science in Administration degree from Central Michigan University. She has over 20 years of experience in Real Estate and counseling.
